Wang`s Mandarin House in Memphis

I’d heard really great things about Wangs so I was eager to try. I am not picky when it comes to food like this. I was a little surprised by the $12 buffet price especially when the choices are so limited. I figured it would be worth it if the food was good. Unfortunately, it was only okay. The fried rice was really bland and the orange chicken was rubbery and fatty. I was disappointed. Hopefully the menu items are better than what they serve at the buffet.

Not nearly as good as it used to be.Wontons were heavy with very little filling (crab Rangoon), chicken skewers were to dry to eat, chicken wings greasy and the dumplings were the best thing we had. They removed our favs from the tapas menu...very disappointed.

Wife ate there with my daughter and German roaches crawling on table and benches that is a serious health hazard roaches spread a lot of diseases

Worst Chinese Food I ever ate and very pricey for something that we threw out in the garbage. Even after the very little I consumed I had a stomach ache. Can’t imagine how I would of felt if I ate the whole thing. Never again!

this place is vastly underrated serving food as good as any Oriental restaurant in town. I particularly like the Mongolian beef and the egg foo young. tonight I am trying the Yangtze shrimp and lemon pepper calamari

Good service, terrible food.It’s been a while since we’ve been here and sadly the food is not the same quality that it used to be. The spare ribs were overcooked and dry-inedible really. The sesame chicken didn’t even taste like chicken, it was over cooked dried out and tasted like the spareribs but in a watery vinegar tasting sauce. So disappointing. Take a drive and try out Beijing Dragon in Cordova if you want to taste the real best Chinese food in Memphis.

Best Hot and Sour Soup around! The buffet was fresh and delicious but I am looking forward to coming back to order individual dishes. Staff were very friendly and available without being intrusive. The decor feels upscale so a great place for casual business lunches as well.A very enjoyable lunch experience.

Unprofessional hostess older lady, maybe she is a partner or owner, stands on the entrance, obnoxious!!! I went to pick up an order for uber and when i got there, I nicely gave her a name, she replied, unpleasantly: “what is the number you have, I don’t care about the name”. And then I wait standing there, and she does not act, and I wait, and she doesn’t even hand Me the order, discovering that the order bag is next to her and she is expecting me to go to the other side of the counter and grab it instead of her just handing it to me. obnoxiously wanting me to walk around the counter and get the bag, so rude! I hope she experience the same!

Haven't been here in awhile and glad to see it's still excellent. I had the sweet and sour chicken, wife had orange beef. Both delivered. Wine list good and modestly priced. We'll make that detour more often in the future.

Friendly staff. Amazing food! A bit pricey, but fairly decent portions. I eat here all the time! Love it!

Oh my goodness! Amazing. We were only in Memphis for a few days and we went back here twice. Food amazing. Staff so good.

I could give this location 0 stars I would. I was told that my order would be ready in an hour and finally after 2 hours my order arrived. After calling twice before hand I was told it was on its way which was a lie. When I called to complain bc I have worked in the restaurant business for years I was told they dont start deliveries until 530pm. I also didn't receive a receipt with my order and they said they don't give customers a copy of their receipt. I paid my order with a credit cards. After all that they only offered me a 25 percent discount. I want my money back. I won't be back there again.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Memphis. The owner really takes care of everything. They have one of the best lunch buffets in Memphis. It is small and they focused on a handful of really good dishes and they really focus on making them good. It's a terrific place for lunch it's very affordable, always fresh with impeccable service.

Wangs is the only place in Memphis for GREAT Chinese food and service. I rate Wang's 5 star restaurant.

If you want to have the all you can eat buffet go before 1:00 or soon after. They stop filling the buffet at 1:00. They still have good lunchSpecials you order off the menu.

Came at 2, ordered a lunch special to go. Went to go to the bathroom and it was ready when I got out. That worried me but I heard such good things so I took my food and left. Wrong decision. The fried rice was bland and flavorless. The sesame chicken was hard and chewy and had obviously been re dropped and not cooked fresh. Definitely never eating here again.

Always good food and service

Wang's is the best. We got the stir fry chicken and a stir fry fish last week that was so good! I like it a little spicy and it was just the right amount of zing. The spring rolls had the best flaky crusts and flavor. Everything was excellent. It always is. That's why we keep coming back. I think I'll get some to take home tonight!

You guys should teach you chefs how to prepare Chinese bean curds. It should be served in small crispy pan fried pieces rolled in a sweet sauce with broccoli and other veggies not wet slimy mushy tofu squares that taste like a wet diaper. Go down to me Mr Chen’s in Hernando they can show you how.

Wangs Mandarin House is the confluence between value and quality. $8.20 lunch buffet with tax includes hot & sour and egg drop soup. Prompt friendly service and fresh food selection has made me a regular of my new favorite locally owned Chinese restaurant.

I really enjoy coming here. There is never a wait. A great place to unwind. It's better than drinks and food, it's also the nice atmosphere. The bar tender "Brian" is on point! If you need a suggestion on what to drink or eat, just ask him. You will be happy you did!Definitely going back!

The decor is dated. The food isn’t anything special. However, the service is always excellent. I like consistency, and Wang’s is always a safe bet if I have a hankering for Chinese cuisine. I’ve never had a bad experience. The food is always hot and comes out quickly. The servers are efficient and eager to please. I wish the food was better, but it’s more than passable.

Wang's used to be one of my most favorite Asian lunch spots until the prices for the lunch buffet increased but the food bar quality decreased. No new selections were included and I often found certain foods would run out before being replenished. This is a clear sign that something is going wrong. Hopefully you will use this review to turn Wang's around.

Delicious Chinese food! Inexpensive and usually not over crowded. They have sushi, too, but I've never had that to rate it.

The scallion pancakes are thick. Basically just bread with a few scallions in there. Does not come with any type of sauce! It's like eating a dry biscuit with no water!!
